The International Localization Institute was founded by duty bearers and rights holders around the globe who realized that traditional efforts to empower local communities, raise their voices, and ensure a life of dignity and self-determination, had failed them and through the belief that there could be another way, a truly ground up way, where ILI continues to fulfill this mission to its clients, the communities we are honored to serve.
MISSION
Our mission is to catalyze progressive localization policy, bolster capacities of individuals and institutions, advocate for local communities voice, decision making, and leadership, and bring duty bearers and rights holders together to drive fundamental change that actualizes truly authentic localization.
VISION
Our vision is build on the core fundamental conviction that united we can contribute to building a more inclusive and equitable world, where marginalized communities not only have equal opportunities and not only live in environments free from violence and discrimination, but thrive in peace in the life they choose.
